Happy Birthday

to my best friend Tim!  Tim is turning 29 today.  29 is SUCH a great age and if I had my way I’d be 29 forever.  Secretly I still am.  29 is also my birthdate, which is in another eight days.  I’m excited about turning 21 heh.  Okay maybe add a decade to that, since I don’t lie.

So finally Friday arrives and it’s sleep in day! Except my body does not want any part in this sleeping in activity and begs me to wake up and open my eyes to the light that is coming in my five windows in my room.  I am no match even for the pillow strategically positioned over my eyes.  So I get up, make an Itunes playlist and clean the bathroom.  I lead an exciting life for sure.  My plan is to have my room completely spotless by noon and then I will venture East to Abbotsford to scour the malls in search of a new wardrobe.  Did I mention I hate shopping? This should be interesting…

Part II

So I left home on time, 3 minutes to noon with a sparkly clean room and laundry put away.  I decided to start as far East as I wanted to go so I ended up driving to Abby to start at 7 Oaks Mall.  It took me about an hour to drive there and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw gas prices were a cheap 107.4 instead of our hefty 120.4 in Kits.   Mental note to fill up prior to departure.

I approach the mall with hunger pains and realize that their food court SUCKS.  New York Fries, A&W, Taco Time.  YUCK.  I settled on a tofu stirfry and some alaska rolls (as if I didn’t get enuf sushi yesterday) and I have to say that the lunch was disgusting. Shopping on an upset stomach is not wise.  After 2 hours of wandering, thinking I probably shouldn’t be shopping alone – not cause I have that bad of taste but um I don’t have the best of taste.  Oh well, too late now.  I end up with a turquoise tube top, white capri’s (to replace my old white capri’s), a brown short sleeve blouse (to replace my long sleeve blouse with bleach stains on the elbow) and one very flowy brownish see through shirt thingie which suprsingly looks half decent on me.  I am now at home contemplating my next purchase and for some reason have a strange desire to go to Whole foods in North Van and buy overpriced organic foodies for this weekend.  No Easter dinner for me.
